There are so many health and fitness iPhone Apps to choose from where does someone begin?
Well
I have downloaded quite a few Apps and these 2 Apps "Sleep Cycle" and
"Yoga Lite" I have found to be the best so far that goes to benefit
living a balanced and a contented life.
But funny enough I found it really helps to increase my fitness, as they say in the movies Believe it or Not!
One of the most important areas in developing muscle growth is giving yourself time to recover.
Building lean muscle tissues doesn't happen in the gym (that's where you break it down), it happens when you rest.
We all want as much lean muscle tissue as possible, it makes us look athletic and toned.
Lean muscle also helps burn fat so it's an easier job to keep weight off.
The best reason I like is that it gives you that athletic look and the desirable hot beach body.
Sleep Cycle App
Getting a sound and long sleep helps in the rebuilding your body.
If you workout in the gym strenuously or your day job involves a lot of manual work, you need to rest well.
But one of the worst things is to wake up to a noisy unforgiving alarm in the morning.
The iPhone App Sleep Cycle wakes you up VERY pleasantly to some VERY pleasant music.
This App measures your sleep phases throughout the night and measures the movement how deep or light the cycles are.
For example you set the alarm for 7am and Sleep Cycle near that time (approximately 30 minutes) will estimate when you are in the lightest phase and in that window prior to the alarm it begins to wake you up.
Don't worry it will wake you up before your alarm setting so you are not late getting up.
Try it's not only a nicer way to wake up but you will feel relaxed and will help keep stress at a lower level which again goes to help build lean muscles.
Yoga Lite App
Everyone knows Yoga is fantastic for flexibility and relaxing the mind.
But again did you know Yoga can help with development of lean muscles?
You can use Yoga stretching to develop GTO (Golgi Tendon Organs) and Fascia Stretching, both of these will help you lift heavier weights and thus it comes back to increasing lean muscle tissue.
There a lot of Yoga Apps on iTunes but I like Yoga Lite free version the best.
It has 8 sections.
You can upgrade to a higher level if you really like it but I'm happy enough with the lite version.
Well I hope you try at least one of these iPhone Apps out.

- 10 minute daily warmup if you need a quick session.
- If you don't have time for a full Yoga session it has a 10 minute Sun Salutation Sequence which gives you a good workout.
- A 90 minute Bikram Yoga workout (also called Hot Yoga conducted in a heated room).
- Want to work the Abs? There is a 10 minute Yoga for Abs
- Of course there are other parts to Yoga, 8 in fact, there are courses in Meditation and Pranayama (Breath work).
You can upgrade to a higher level if you really like it but I'm happy enough with the lite version.
